Experienced Maintenance Person required for our family owned care home
We need your skills to undertake essential maintenance around our home along with working to a continual refurbishment programme to continually improve the appearance and comfort of the home for our residents and visitors. This includes working in communal areas bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms
You MUST have a range of skills that include plumbing, electrical, DIY, painting, decorating (wall paper), gardening, joinery & ideally - flooring fitting.
We also need you to ensure adequate safety checks are undertaken around the home as per the home schedule, and you will have experience of fire regulations, safety checks, legionella and mandatory building H&S requirements.
Hours are full time, but could be compressed, and flexible
We need you to undertake a full PVG (Disclosure Scotland) check, and be able to evidence your range of skills by providing us with 2 references.
Summary
As the Maintenance Person in our care home, you will be essential in ensuring the homes upkeep and safety. Reporting to the Home Manager, your core responsibilities will include performing maintenance tasks such as plumbing, painting, wallpapering, electrical work, flooring and general repairs. With strong customer service and a positive and friendly nature, you will make a valuable contribution to the environment for residents, families and staff, ensuring high standards of care and comfort.
