The Maintenance person, is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and appearance of buildings, machinery, equipment, and various systems within our property. This role is essential in preventing downtime, minimizing disruptions, and maintaining a pleasant and efficient environment. Maintenance Technicians may work in various settings, including residential and nursing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Repairs and Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting, cleaning, and servicing equipment and machinery.
Conduct troubleshooting and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Replace or repair faulty components, including light fixtures, taps and wiring.
Preventative Maintenance:
Develop and execute maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns and equipment failures.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
Facility Upkeep:
Ensure the safety, and general appearance of the facility by performing minor maintenance tasks. Painting and decorating as required.
Repair or replace damaged items, such as doors, windows, and flooring.
Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including work orders and inventory.
Safety Compliance:
Comply with safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Inspect and maintain safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
Equipment Operation:
Operate various tools and equipment, such as power tools, hand tools, and testing devices.
Perform basic diagnostics to identify equipment malfunctions.
Troubleshooting:
Identify the source of problems and determine the most effective solutions to resolve them.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues.
Communication:
Report maintenance needs and concerns to home managers.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors for larger repair projects when necessary.
