The role will involve the installation, maintenance, improvement and repair of all plant and equipment ensuring production efficiency can be met within a safe well-presented facility. Respond to technical issues affecting production and maintain electrical and mechanical services through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
Main Duties
Procure engineering parts and maintenance spares through a computerised ERP system.
Receive and inspect all deliveries, ensuring goods received match purchase orders and quality standards.
Maintain stock levels by ordering replacement parts and conducting regular inventory checks.
Manage and update inventory records using digital inventory management systems.
Liaise with approved suppliers to source components and track availability and lead times.
Interpret mechanical drawings (CAD experience would be desirable)
Maintain accurate records of preventative and reactive maintenance activities using a computerised system.
Schedule and coordinate services and repairs with external contractors for equipment, forklifts, and heavy mobile plant.
Ensure engineering and maintenance activities adhere to health and safety regulations and company best practices.
Essential Criteria
Proven experience in engineering or maintenance coordination, or a similar role.
Knowledge of engineering parts and components.
Knowledge of inventory management systems.
Basic IT proficiency (MS Office, maintenance software, etc.).
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Understanding of health and safety compliance in an industrial environment.
