Key Responsibilities


Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for critical assets and testing equipment. Coordinate planned maintenance activities to minimize disruption to testing operations. Assist in managing unplanned equipment breakdowns by coordinating with relevant internal teams and external service providers to ensure timely response and resolution. Track and report on maintenance KPIs and asset performance.

Compliance & Documentation
Support the execution and documentation of legal compliance checks (e.g., LOLER, PUWER, pressure systems, fire safety). Maintain accurate records of inspections, certifications, and maintenance history. Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and documentation accuracy.

Vendor & Contractor Management
Obtain cost-competitive quotes from approved vendors for maintenance, repairs, and spare parts. Raise purchase orders and manage goods receipting in line with company procurement procedures.

Coordinate contractor activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and site procedures. Support communication and documentation efforts, ensuring stakeholders are
kept informed and records are accurately maintained throughout planned and unplanned maintenance activities. Manage contractor permits, RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements), and induction processes


Work Experience



Essential Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in maintenance planning or engineering administration, ideally within a technical, industrial, or testing environment. Strong understanding of UK legal compliance requirements for maintenance activities, including LOLER, PUWER, pressure systems, and fire safety regulations. Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for scheduling, asset tracking, and reporting. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams and external contractors. Competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Desirable Attributes

Experience working within a TIC (Testing, Inspection, and Certification) environment or similar regulated industry. Familiarity with environmental and dynamic testing equipment, including vibration systems and climatic chambers. Understanding of ISO standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health and safety qualification. Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders. * Comfortable in a fast-paced, technical environment with a strong attention to detail.
