Strand Palace is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic person to work with our Maintenance Team as a shift technician, with a specific focus on plumbing, and to provide assistance to the team where necessary.

What You Will Be Doing

• Resolving breakdowns, carry out PM\'s and work on project / improvement works with a view to minimizing disruption to our guests.
• To maintain a high level of customer service when dealing with any problems/requests, and completing work and reports in a prompt and efficient manner.
• To complete and maintain documentation in line with health and safety regulations relating to water, fire, and electrical equipment and appliances and any other technical laws/requirements
• To maintain a sufficient stock of materials and spares in delegated stores, advising maintenance management when ordering is required.
• To liaise with Contractors on Site, ensuring they are signed in and have completed all necessary permits to work, and that relevant staff is aware that contractors are on site.
• In the event of an emergency, know the location of, and how to isolate all valves, switches, power supplies, and drain runs throughout the hotel.

What We\'re Looking For

• Previous hotel experience would be a great advantage.
• Proactive approach, with excellent time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Available to work a shift pattern that covers days & nights.
• Works well in a team but is self-motivated and does not need much instruction
