Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Henstridge, Somerset. This pivotal role will oversee maintenance operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency are met. As a key contributor to our mission, you will play an essential part in maintaining our equipment and facilities.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday:

Week 1: 06:00 - 1400

Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00

Rotating shifts

Experience/Skills

The Maintenance Engineer Supervisor will support and oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, including but not limited to; office-based duties, installation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and recommending the replacement of tools, appliances, and equipment.

They will also have good mechanical experience with hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge essential. Electrical safety knowledge essential with a further electrical qualification being desirable. Knowledge of various mechanical drive arrangements.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of equipment.

Performing preventative maintenance routines and condition monitoring of production machinery and facilities Liaising closely with management and operations staff in all aspects to ensure efficient, effective and planned reactive maintenance at all times Working closely with the Maintenance department and management to formulate the required maintenance check sheets/PMI's and ensuring their completion by the Maintenance department Making safety inspections of tools, equipment and plant Diagnosing faults and repairing machines Anticipating machine failures and making changes or recommendations to prevent re-occurrence and to minimise downtime Working to improve reliability and productivity of equipment Completing written records of all maintenance activities Carrying out maintenance tasks diligently and in good time using appropriate methodology Carrying out routine servicing and checks as per the maintenance schedules/programmes Supervising the Maintenance department and their work load, and liaising with managers and relevant Director(s) Carrying out employee relation tasks with employees when required such as disciplinaries, grievances, performance related issues etc. Assisting in the management of workflow with scheduling, planning and distribution of work to accountable individuals Participating in the appraisal process, mentoring and training plans for all accountable individuals when required Attending all training courses as and when required
