About Andrew Proven House
The work we do is at Andrew Proven House (APH), which offers safe accommodation and support to families in South- West London.
First and foremost we offer women, or occasionally couples, and their children a safe environment. Families have their own flats and our 24-hour team of staff gives them much needed peace of mind. Each family is assigned a key worker who draws up a personalised support plan. Families can stay with us for up to two years
What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced maintenance support , passionate about maintaining high standards in a beautiful environment.This is a part time role contracted to 8 hours per week (4 hrs Monday -4 hrs Wednesday)

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the interior and exterior of the property.
Conduct basic plumbing and electrical work within the limits of current health and safety regulations.
Undertake decorating, painting, and touch-up work as needed.
Monitor and maintain lighting (internal and external) regularly.
Perform scheduled health and safety checks, documenting any concerns.
Maintain outdoor areas, including sweeping, litter removal, lawn care, and general gardening.
Assist with internal upkeep, such as moving furniture, minor installations, or carpet cleaning.
Assemble, build, or relocate furniture as required.
Liaise with external contractors, obtain quotes, and supervise third-party works.
Report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly to senior staff.
Respond effectively to maintenance emergencies and attend when needed off-duty.
Plan and prioritise tasks in consultation with staff to minimise disruption to residents.
Keep records of completed work, equipment checks, and service visits.
Perform any other reasonable duties in line with the role.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience in property maintenance (preferably in social housing)
Qualification in a relevant trade (e.g., NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
Skilled across multiple trades (basic plumbing, electrics, painting/decorating)
Good understanding of health and safety and housing compliance
Excellent teamwork skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong organisational skills
Enhanced DBS check required
Full driving licence ( desirable)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 18.00-22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
