We are seeking an experienced and versatile Maintenance Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an all-rounder with knowledge of heating systems, plumbing, electrics, general maintenance and a variety of practical skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and team.
Whilst the role will be based out of at our largest Hampshire Home, Bonhomie House (SO31 1DJ) there will be the need to travel to other sites on particular occasions in Bognor Regis, London and Redhill.
Duties
Supervise daily operations and manage staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Oversee project management tasks, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
Maintain maintenance related systems throughout the group
Interpret and work with schematics to facilitate repairs and installations.
Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
Collaborate with other departments to optimise processes and improve operational efficiency.
Experience
Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical principles, and logic controllers.
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics accurately.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong leadership capabilities.
Available for short notice overtime as and when required
Available for out-of-hours emergency call outs
Good IT skills, Good time management
Plan and oversee weekly maintenance schedules, coordinating tasks with production and ensuring timely completion
Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure materials, tools, and manpower are aligned with work plans
