OUR HOTEL
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to maintain the visual appeal, safety, and functionality of Hilton and Aloft Aberdeen by performing high-quality painting, decorating, and general maintenance tasks. The role ensures a welcoming and well-maintained environment for guests and staff across all assigned hotel locations.
Your new role of Maintenance Assistant (Painting/Decorator) will see you working in the Hilton & Aloft Aberdeen on the site of The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA).
The 200-bedroom Hilton Hotel on the site of the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre hosts Quarter House Bar & Grill, Flight Path, The only Executive Lounge in Aberdeen and Devona Spa & Leisure.
The 150-bedroom Aloft Hotel on the site of the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. Designed by architects Cooper Cromar, with interiors by Twenty2Degrees, the Aloft Hotel is the first of its kind in Scotland and features a WXYZ bar, RE:MIX lounge and gym.

What You'll Be Doing?
Painting & Decorating
Prepare surfaces and apply paint, wallpaper, varnish, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces.
Perform touch-ups, repainting, and full redecoration projects in guest rooms, public areas, meeting rooms, and back-of-house spaces.
Maintain consistent visual standards across all properties, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
Inspect and repair decorative finishes regularly to maintain a high standard of presentation.
General Maintenance
Perform minor repair work including plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and basic electrical tasks.
Respond to maintenance requests from the front desk or management in a timely and professional manner.
Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks according to schedules.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and all local building codes.
Multi-Property Coordination
Travel between assigned hotels within the cluster as required.
Maintain accurate records of work performed at each site.
Support larger renovation or upgrade projects as part of the wider maintenance team.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Proven experience as a painter/decorator, preferably in a hospitality or facilities environment.
Basic knowledge of general maintenance (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and a good eye for design and finish.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across two hotels.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
A passion for maintaining a safe, well-functioning environment that enhances the guest experiene
