Maintenance Team Member
Job Description
English Braids offers the opportunity to develop your experience and engineering skills by joining our maintenance team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Team Leader this position encourages engagement with employees and machine operators to understand issues and enable engineering solutions. Your primary focus will be to support maximum availability of equipment and machinery. Ideally you will have an engineering background with qualifications in either electrical or mechanical engineering. You will be able to work well under pressure, prioritizing work to resolve problems while supporting efficient production output.
This respected British manufacturer operates across a multitude of high performance and safety critical markets by providing quality ropes and braids to many sectors including leisure marine, rope access, renewable energy and Defense. Our ropes are manufactured at our production facility in Malvern.
The Job
Act as a member of the Maintenance sub-team; Support maintenance projects to completion within allocated resources and timescales; Respond to breakdowns; Diagnose and resolve faults; Repair/maintain equipment as directed by the Maintenance Team Leader; Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and other relevant legislation and company guidelines; Respond to all reasonable maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Experience
Appropriate work experience in a similar role (1 year preferred); Engineering qualifications (highly desirable); Attention to technical detail; Understand engineering, scientific and other technical information. Electrical / Electronic Experience (highly desirable) Mechanical Experience
Hours
Standard hours are Monday to Friday 0800-1700, including paid morning and afternoon breaks and a one hour (unpaid) lunch break. Overtime may be available.
Holiday starts at 28 days annually rising to 30.

Pay: 12.21-16.23 per hour
