About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join the team at our Portadown manufacturing site.
A maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring equipment, machinery, and facilities operate safely and efficiently. Daily work typically includes diagnosing faults, performing repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and keeping accurate maintenance records. The role often supports production teams, responds to breakdowns, and helps improve equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities
Inspecting and maintaining machinery to prevent breakdowns
Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issue
Performing routine servicing and repairs on equipment and building systems
Responding to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime
Installing new equipment or components
Reading technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
Maintaining tools, spare parts, and inventory
Documenting work completed in logs or digital systems
Following safety procedures and compliance standards
Collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and contractors
Qualifications and skills
Either a time served apprenticeship or suitable engineering qualification.
Previous experience in a multi skilled (mechanical and electrical) maintenance or engineering
Experience with industrial machinery, building systems, or production equipment
Ability to read technical drawings with strong fault?finding, diagnostic skills
Computer literacy and familiarity with CMMS or digital maintenance systems
Experience of working in manufacturing, facilities, or commercial environments, experience of food manufacturing is highly desirable.
Strong communication, time management and teamwork skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
