to support a high-volume die casting automotive facility in Belfast. This is a hands-on, operational role requiring strong technical systems, industrial robotics,
and
automated equipment maintenance
. The successful candidate will thrive in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment, especially during peak summer months.
Responsibilities:
Support the maintenance team in reactive and preventative maintenance tasks across production equipment.
Diagnose and resolve faults related to PLC-controlled machinery, robotics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Minimise downtime and ensure equipment reliability to meet production targets.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and support audit compliance.
Experience/Qualifications:
Proven maintenance management or expert-level experience in a high-volume automotive or industrial environment.
Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), robotics, and casting equipment.
Strong understanding of die casting processes and mechanical/electrical systems.
Able work independently in a physically demanding setting - must have a high level of physical fitness suitable for long days in hot conditions.
Excellent fault-finding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
IOSH or other health & safety certification is desirable.
Prior experience in automotive Tier 1/Tier 2 environments is a plus.
