Role Summary:
Carry out planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance on production equipment to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system faults, diagnosing issues quickly and effectively.
Perform routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work carried out, parts used, and equipment history.
Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth operation and timely response to breakdowns.
Assist in the installation, commissioning, and modification of new and existing production equipment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing efficiency and reliability improvements.
Personal Specifications:
Recognized Engineering apprenticeship, preferably at NC/HNC level, in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Experience with electromechanical systems
Strong understanding of pneumatic systems
Proficiency in MS Office
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Team player with effective communication skills at all levels
Keen interest and solid understanding of engineering principles
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Flexible and adaptable approach to tasks
Desirable:
18th Edition wiring regulations knowledge
