Challenger Lighting are recruiting for a

Maintenance Technician

for both traditional and LED Lighting technologies and control systems.

Purpose of the Role

To carry out both planned / reactive maintenance and installation, primarily lighting and associated electrical works within the retail sector and other commercial premises.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Ensure all works are carried out in line with appropriate current regulations; Ensure all aspects of work instructions are carried out in a timely and efficient manner to standards exceeding Customer expectations; Co-ordination of activities with Customers onsite Staff and Challenger Head Office; Ability to travel across numerous Customer Sites

Strong sense of customer service; Desire to exceed expectations; The ability to use initiative; A natural can-do attitude. Enthusiastic and positive; Well organised with good time management skills; Good communication skills.

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training (e = essential / d = desirable):

Working knowledge of lighting systems; (d) Good understanding of Health and Safety, Environmental and Emergency Lighting Regulations; (d) Functional I.T. skills; (e) IPAF licence; (d) Full Driving licence; (e)

Full training will be given to the suitable candidate at Gosport Head Office with the opportunity to undertake other courses (including 18th Edition) to expand on existing knowledge. However, Electrical Experience is a necessity.

Trainees will be considered.

Other Job details:

A flexible approach to working hours and times is required with a willingness to work on overnight projects when / if required; Working hours are based on a 'home to home' basis - average hours are 45 hours per week; Uniform and full PPE are provided along with a Company vehicle and phone. Bonus Scheme applicable
