We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team at Chapel-en-le-Frith. You will play a key role in maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and supporting site operations. This role includes preventative maintenance as well as carrying out repairs and routine checks. You will also be responsible for requesting quotations and co-ordinating the site's maintenance contractors such as electricians, plumbers and heating engineers. This role may require occasional out-of-hours work.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine site maintenance and repairs, including painting and decorating, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
Obtain quotes and organise contractors for more complex maintenance issues.
Maintain accurate maintenance records.
Assist in the installation of new equipment and facility upgrades.
Conduct routine safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations related to fire, electrical testing and legionella.
About You
You will have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn to new skills and an interest in hands-on maintenance.
You will be able to use your own initiative to identify issues at work and suggest options for improvement.
Previous experience as a general maintenance technician is preferred, with some experience of mechanical and electrical works.
Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) are desirable.
Ability to work at heights with accredited Ladder Association training certification advantageous.
To support the role, PAT Testing (EET Testing) training course, Legionella awareness training, and fire door maintenance training will be provided.
You should have excellent communication skills, including effective listening and an ability to liaise with varying levels of technical staff and contractors.
You will need to be organised and have the ability to work independently.
