The Opportunity
We're looking for a Maintenance Technician to join us at OMA Studio Group, London's largest, fully independent studio owner operator.
The Company
OMA Studio Group is London's largest, truly independent studio owner operator, with customer service front and centre of what we do. Across three film studio facilities, OMA One and OMA X (Enfield, North London) and OMA V (near Elstree, Hertfordshire), OMA Studio Group brings together 480,000 sqft of high specification production space, including 13 fully soundproofed stages totalling 307,000 sqft. At 40,000 sqft and 45ft height, two of our soundstages are amongst the largest in the UK. Our studios are created with the aim of providing well-designed, high specification production facilities which represent great value; our mission is to be London's All-Round Best Value Film Studios. OMA Studio Group is the owned studio division of Location Collective. Established in 2007, Location Collective is London's largest provider of space to the film and TV industry, working under an agency model.
Across both OMA Studio Group and Location Collective, we have developed a vast customer base, and we work on a daily basis with every studio and streamer, as well as all leading US and UK production companies.
The Role
The Maintenance Technician will be based across our sites, mainly in Enfield and Hertfordshire, and will join a close-knit Studio Management Team working together to create a welcoming and collaborative environment.
You will be joining an independent operator with a studio management service which is highly regarded across our industry. We are adaptable, highly reactive, personable and collaborative and you will be hands on in delivering the best possible experience for shows working from the studios and our supporting sites.
We work to develop and grow our people and ongoing training and development will be provided for your personal development.
As our Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Keeping our studios and supporting buildings in an excellent state of repair, whether this is something you can fix, or something you need to escalate
Conducting scheduled inspections and tests
Supporting the ongoing planned, reactive and preventative maintenance of our on-site building services
Providing technical and customer service support to our on-site productions
Ensuring critical spares and operational spare parts are kept stocked to enable us to respond quickly to any service outages
Delivering high quality customer service, and being the first point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders
Complying with all health and safety processes, procedures and policies
Supporting the delivery of OMA Studio Group Sustainability Policy and initiatives
Identifying any opportunities for the development and improvement of OMA Studio Group
Skills and Experience
Experience working in a similar environment, where customer service and business continuity are important
Basic experience of building services including, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and heating and cooling systems
Hands on experience of painting, decoration, and straightforward repairs of building services
Good working knowledge of health and safety systems and safe systems of work
Ability to adapt within dynamic environments, changing priorities as necessary
Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
A full clean UK Driving Licence
