Position Overview
We now have an exciting opportunity for Maintenance Technician to join our team in Swindon. This role will work a double day shift pattern where your salary will include a shift allowance of 3,100.
Main Duties
A Maintenance Technician, is required to work as part of a team to provide both Reactive and PPM maintenance
Lead the maintenance and repair of pumps, pipework, valves, and other mechanical systems critical to our thermal spray operations
Carry out fabrication and fitting tasks including welding, bracketry, and bespoke mechanical setups
Support with electrical troubleshooting on machinery and assist with minor panel and control work
Maintain a strong safety-first mindset, ensuring compliance with procedures and proactively identifying risks
Respond quickly to breakdowns and keep equipment running efficiently through planned and preventative maintenance utilizing company maintenance software
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring faults and recommending robust fixes
Key Candidate Requirements
To succeed in this position you will have a mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience in an industrial setting
You have a strong mechanical skillset e.g. pumps, pipework, plumbing, welding, and fabrication
You have good electrical knowledge e.g. able to fault-find, isolate safely, and support minor electrical repairs
You are comfortable working with high-pressure systems and safety-critical equipment (e.g., compressed gases, thermal spray booths)
Experience with planned and reactive maintenance in a manufacturing or process environment is desirable
You will ideally be from a manufacturing, process, or engineering background (thermal spray, coatings, or chemical process would be a bonus)
