Industrial Pumps is a leading provider of rotating equipment repairs across a broad spectrum of clients and in particular the water sector, having long-term framework contracts with several major Water Authorities in the North of England. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician / Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection and maintenance of screens and equipment within the CSO (combined sewer overflow) network.
Routine Maintenance & Repairs: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wastewater treatment screens - this will involve entry into confined spaces
Troubleshooting & Fault Diagnosis: Identify and resolve mechanical issues where possible and complete a comprehensive report to allow further work to be carried out as required
Compliance & Documentation: Maintain detailed service records, write reports, and ensure all activities adhere to environmental and safety regulations.
Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all company and client safety regulations and guidelines.
Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation troubleshooting.
Required Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to read and follow maintenance task lists.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements: Capable of working in confined spaces and working in outdoor conditions.
Full UK Clean driving license is required.
Travel
Willingness to travel to various sites within the Yorkshire Water region for maintenance visits including some that are out of hours (both nights and weekends, this work will be scheduled)
Preferred Experience
Working with CSO screening but not essential
Experience with maintenance of mechanical rotating equipment.
This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a technical background in wastewater engineering who is eager to contribute to the efficient operation of CSO equipment
