We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various systems within our state of the art factory.
This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of safety and efficiency.
Duties
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, across a range of CNC and conventional machine tools, utilising schematics and PLCs as necessary
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections.
Collaborate with team members to develop preventative maintenance schedules.
Assist in the training of new staff on maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
Play an active role in the continuous improvement programme working with production and engineering to deliver improved efficiency and better working conditions
You will predominantly be based at our Sheffield factory but it may be necessary for you to visit customer sites to install, commission and maintain equipment that we have supplied or to visit our other sites in Teesside and Shropshire occasionally.
Experience
Proven experience in a maintenance role, demonstrating strong mechanical and electrical skills.
Ability to interrogate and modify PLC programs
Familiarity with machine tool maintenance an trouble shooting
Familiarity with schematics and the ability to read technical drawings is essential.
Friendly and positive outlook with the ability to communicate well with colleagues.
A logical approach to problem-solving, with the capability to think critically under pressure.
