Overview

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking

Outdoor Cleaner / Maintenance Operative

to help keep Soho Road clean, tidy, and safe for the local community. This is a hands-on, outdoor role involving street cleaning, basic upkeep, and ensuring the area remains presentable and welcoming to the public.

Responsibilities

Carry out daily outdoor cleaning tasks such as sweeping pavements, removing litter, and emptying public bins. Keep walkways, entrances, and public areas clear and safe at all times. Report any damage, hazards, or fly-tipping to the supervisor or relevant services. Carry out light maintenance work such as cleaning street furniture, removing weeds, and basic repairs. Operate cleaning tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Work in all weather conditions while maintaining high standards. Support periodic deep cleans or community tidy-up events. Follow established cleaning procedures and health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cleaning operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or moving items. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new techniques. Pay: From 12.21 per hour
