Job description:
Do you have experience in the field of Major Loss and seeking a new challenge?
We are currently seeking a Major Complex Loss Supervisor to oversee a variety of fire and flood related restoration projects.
In this role, you will act as the technical lead on site, providing a hands-on approach, collating detailed reports, working closely with our clients, and showing leadership during high-value and highly complex claims. You will serve as the primary on-site point of contact for the client, including but not limited to the loss adjuster, surveyor and insured.
We would encourage applicants from a Fire & Flood Restoration background, who have previously or currently work in a Senior or Lead Technician role or who have had previous exposure to the world of Major Loss.
Candidate Requirements
Significant experience in fire and flood restoration, ideally major or complex loss projects
Strong knowledge of industry standards, drying systems, decontamination techniques, and building structures.
Full UK driving licence
BDMA Technician accreditation or equivalent desirable
Experience working with insurers, loss adjusters, and surveyors.
Experience managing hazardous environments
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site inspections to determine the scope of work required for major and complex losses (fire, flood, smoke, mould, impact damage).
Compile detailed scopes outlining the works
Identify risks and hazards and enforce site-specific H&S protocols with the use of RAMS
Supervise on-site technicians and subcontractors to ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with scopes
Monitor work quality, progress, and resources to keep projects on schedule
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe equipment operation
Provide technical guidance on complex restoration tasks and advanced equipment usage.
Promote a positive team culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
