55,000 - 62,300 +10% performance bonus, + regional allowance

Job summary:


Join our Major Projects team and help deliver some of London's most high-profile developments. This role focuses on managing key risks and preventing warranty claims through expert application of NHBC Standards, Building Regulations, and national/European codes.

What you'll be doing


You'll bring specialist knowledge of building performance and failure modes to complex, high-risk projects--ensuring compliance, quality, and long-term durability. Work alongside NHBC Surveyors to shape the future of the capital's-built environment. Deliver an efficient and effective service on Warranty and Building Control jobs in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure NHBC, customer and statutory requirements are met.

Oversee the technical risk management of highly complex new build and conversion projects in accordance with the Warranty Risk Policy. Carry out site inspection of building work as part of the technical risk management strategy for high risk projects and provide planned and responsive support to inspectors, surveyors and engineers in the project team. Review and check reports and submissions prepared by others. To assess the holistic technical risk and identify potential failure points of projects based on design, data analysis and extensive specialist knowledge and understanding of how buildings fail. Develop and implement bespoke, dynamic project-based risk management plans in order to mitigate technical risks identified. Check and/or manage the checking of design details, in accordance with NHBC Warranty policy, to ensure they comply with NHBC Standards, codes and National/European standards and Building Regulations.

What we're looking for

Excellent understanding of why and how buildings fail and result in claims. Experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams to achieve agreed outputs. Have extensive knowledge and understanding of at least one of the following key areas: NHBC Standards Building regulations, Engineering. Demonstrable experience of successful customer relationship management. On-site experience with advanced knowledge of the housing sector. Understanding of building Pathology and experience of building defect identification Extensive relevant building / Construction techniques. IT literate across a range of software programmes - Microsoft Office. Project management skills. Chartered membership of an appropriate professional institution. Relevant accredited HND/HNC qualification or substantial industry experience.
