Hours:

32.5 hours per week (Term Time Only + INSET Days)

Monday & Friday: 8.40am - 3.10pm Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8.40am - 4.00pm (includes 30-minute lunch break)

About the Role:



We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Learning Support Practitioner (Level 3)

to join our committed team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment, providing classroom support to SEN pupils. The role involves working under the direction of the class teacher to deliver high-quality support tailored to the needs of our pupils with a range of special educational needs, complex behaviours, and learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their safety, well-being, and engagement in learning activities. Assist in the implementation of individualised learning and care plans. Promote good behaviour and address challenging behaviours in line with the school's policies. Provide personal care, including toileting and feeding, as required. Prepare classroom materials and assist in the organisation of resources. Contribute to the development of curriculum activities and school policies. Support the supervision of pupils during lunch and break times. Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to foster a nurturing learning environment. Use ICT effectively to support learning and maintain records.

Requirements:



Qualifications:

NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, BTEC, NNEB, or equivalent. GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above.

Experience:

Prior experience working with students with special educational needs, including complex behaviours and disabilities.

Skills:

Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Commitment:

Flexibility to attend parents' evenings and other school events as required.

Legal Requirements:

Enhanced DBS check for regulated activity, satisfactory medical clearances.
