Job Description

Job Purpose:



We are looking for Male Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living in supported accommodation, empowering them to live as independently as possible. The role involves helping service users with daily living tasks, promoting their rights and choices, and supporting them to achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities: Support and Care:



Support individuals with daily living skills such as personal care, cooking, cleaning, and managing finances. Encourage independence and build confidence in day-to-day activities. Promote participation in social, educational, and leisure activities both within the home and in the community. Assist with medication administration (if trained and required). Support individuals in maintaining their tenancy and understanding their housing responsibilities.

Health and Wellbeing:



Monitor and report on the physical and emotional well-being of individuals. Support access to healthcare services including GP visits, mental health appointments, and medication reviews. Respond to emergencies and incidents following procedures and risk assessments.

Record Keeping:



Accurately record daily notes, incident reports, and support logs. Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and safeguarding protocols.

Teamwork:



Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals. Attend team meetings, training sessions, and supervisions as required. Follow the instructions of Key Workers or Team Leaders to ensure continuity of care.

Person Specification: Essential:



Caring, patient, and respectful attitude. Ability to follow support plans and routines. Good verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to work flexibly including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in shifts (if required). Commitment to promoting dignity, choice, and independence.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
