Job Summary


Male Driver - you do not need access to a car, you MUST have a UK driving Licence.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clients with diverse needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice care, and general senior care. This role involves delivering personalised support to promote independence, dignity, and well-being. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team.

Responsibilities



Assist clients with daily activities including personal care, mobility, and hygiene routines Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments Support medication administration in accordance with prescribed guidelines Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Engage clients in social activities and behavioural management strategies to promote mental well-being Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required Respond promptly to emergency situations using first aid skills when necessary Document care provided accurately and report any concerns or changes in client condition to supervising staff

Requirements



Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, home care, or hospice care is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's care, and behaviour management techniques Certification or training in first aid and medication administration is preferred Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanour Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for client mobility assistance Valid driving licence for transporting clients safely Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in record keeping and reporting Flexibility to work shifts that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed Good communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
