We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Male Support Workers (At clients request) to provide high-quality care and assistance to a young man with learning disabilities. The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. Candidates should be committed to delivering person-centred care and possess a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. Duties



Assisting clients with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming if required Supporting patients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary Administering medication following prescribed instructions and maintaining accurate records if necessary Teaching life skills Integrating the client back into the community Engaging clients in social activities and behavioural management strategies to promote mental wellbeing Driving clients to appointments or outings safely and responsibly Monitoring health status and reporting any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals Assisting with household chores and maintaining a clean, safe environment Supporting children or individuals with behavioural challenges through customised care plans

Experience



Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable Knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration and first aid Proven ability in caregiving roles involving behaviour management and heavy lifting tasks Familiarity with meal preparation and basic healthcare procedures Valid driving licence for transporting clients safely is preferred

Hourly rate 12.50 to 13.46 (Enhanced pay at weekends and double-time on bank holidays). Contracts available after the probationary period - Full time, Part Time. Mileage allowance - 40p per mile. Schedule:



7 days per week. 4 hours per day. This role would suit 2 people working on a rolling 2 week rota.
It is expected that you are able to cover for holidays and sickness where possible. There is the possibility of working with other Service Users if you would like to increase your hours.

Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check and suitable references.
