Male Teaching Assistant - Special Needs School | Merthyr Tydfil

13.00 an hour | Ongoing Position | Immediate Start

Are you a confident, proactive, and hardworking Teaching Assistant with experience supporting students in PRU or SEN settings?
We're looking for a Male Teaching Assistant to support a fantastic special needs school in Merthyr Tydfil, providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs and behavioural challenges.

What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting students with additional needs (including behavioural and emotional support). Working closely with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging learning experiences. Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence. Using initiative to adapt to individual learning styles and classroom needs. Contributing to a caring, structured and positive learning environment.
What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) or SEN school
A team player who's reliable, positive and professional
Strong communication skills and a calm, confident approach
Able to use initiative and build rapport quickly with pupils
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
