About the role

As a
Management Accountant
, you will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes across our UK and US entities. Your responsibilities will include preparing management accounts, maintaining accurate records, ensuring smooth month-end operations, assisting with budgeting and forecast, and compliance. You will also assist with improving processes and supporting decision-making through insightful analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts for both UK and US entities
Maintain general ledger integrity including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
Assist in month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with local GAAP (UK GAAP and US GAAP where applicable)
Assist in preparation of consolidated budgets and rolling forecasts across both regions
Conduct variance analysis and financial commentary to support management reporting
Develop financial models and scenario planning tools for strategic decision-making
Partner with stakeholders across the UK and US to monitor performance and improve cost controls
Track and report on key KPIs aligned to business goals in both markets
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations in both the UK and the US (e.g., VAT, Corporation Tax, Sales Tax, Federal/State filings)
Support external audits and liaise with local advisors in both jurisdictions
Assist with payroll accounting and reconciliation in both entities
Help develop and enforce financial controls and policies across the group
Prepare and submit necessary regulatory filings in line with local requirements (Companies House, HMRC, IRS, etc.)
Salary
The salary for this role is between 35,000 and 45,000, depending on experience.

Be qualified/part qualified
Experience with month end process
Experience working with multiple entities, preferably across international jurisdictions
Solid understanding of UK financial regulations; knowledge of US financial compliance is a strong plus
Advanced excel skills, experience with Xero is beneficial
Strong influencing skills and confident to challenge senior stakeholders
Strong personal judgement, able to remain independent
Proactive mindset with the confidence to work independently and cross-functionally
Strong communication/presentation skills both oral and written
Solution orientated with common-sense approach with excellent attention to detail
Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
