Job Description
Butler Rose is supporting a medium sized business based in Bedford with the recruitment of a Management Accountant for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role will be ideal for someone immediately available or available with less than 1 week notice. The Management Accountant will report into the Group Financial Controller, and will play a pivotal role in their overseas division\'s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce timely and accurate Management Accounts, analysing performance variances.
- Consolidate French entities\' monthly results and handle inter-company accounting.
- Reconcile balance sheets with supporting documentation and commentary.
- Manage French expense claims and enhance processes.
- Ensure accurate cash reconciliation and analyse cashflows.
- Support the finance manager in France with budgeting and strategic planning.
- Oversee billing and payment processes across France entities.
- Liaise with French external accountants for tax reporting and annual audits.
- Review and optimise existing processes for efficiency.
- Collaborate across Finance and Operations for improved reporting.
- Formal financial qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with French GAAP and retail/hospitality business desirable but not a pre-requisite.
- Strong month-end process and consolidation knowledge.
- Results-focused and collaborative team player
