Management Accountant

to join a well-established

manufacturing business

with a proud UK heritage.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role that sits at the heart of the finance function, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with operations, production, and senior management to deliver accurate, meaningful financial insights that drive business performance.

We're looking for a confident, detail-oriented accountant who can hit the ground running and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of all core management accounting activities, ensuring robust financial reporting, strong cost control, and reliable information to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

Producing monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and performance reports. Delivering meaningful analysis and commentary on variances against budget and key KPIs. Managing the costing process across all products, ensuring accurate standard and actual cost reporting (this can be taught if knowledge gap) Partnering with production and commercial teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency. Overseeing stock control, fixed assets, cash management, and key balance sheet reconciliations. Supporting year-end accounts preparation and audit. Ensuring financial compliance, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvement.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings both technical accounting skills and commercial acumen -- someone who can "own the numbers" but also influence decisions across the wider business.

You'll ideally have:

Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) - or QBE with extensive manufacturing experience. Strong management accounting and product costing experience. Advanced Excel and solid knowledge of Sage 200 (essential). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. The ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively, and maintain accuracy in a busy environment. Immediate availability or short notice period preferred, but will wait for the right candidate
