You will:
Manage cash flow, produce financial reports, and handle complex invoicing and billing with local authorities, health commissioners, and third-party providers (e.g., Purple) using
Sproc NHS invoicing systems
Liaise with external accountants
Provide financial insight to support strategic decisions
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Use
Xero
for day-to-day accounting operations
Build and lead your own finance team as the company grows
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and financial models to support growth
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing with local authorities, health commissioners, and third-party providers using Sproc
Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis)
Support month-end and year-end processes, including ledger closure and audit preparation
Assist with annual budgeting and financial reporting for directors and stakeholders
Implement internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Ensure financial systems and processes are robust and efficient
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for new projects and cost-saving initiatives
Experience & Skills:
Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience
Experience in social care, healthcare, or service-based sectors preferred
Strong experience using
Xero
Skilled in handling complex invoicing and billing arrangements with local authorities and third-party providers using
Sproc NHS invoicing systems
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
