We are committed to providing an inclusive, working environment to support our diverse team of employees, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our busy finance team based at our Hindley office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities;



External & Statutory Reporting:



Prepare the Group's annual report and accounts, subsidiary statutory accounts, and quarterly external reporting in line with agreed deadlines.

Alongside the Finance Manager you will steward the delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting timetables, updating on progress and managing stakeholders to ensure key dates are met.

Co-ordinate external audit requests, ensuring timely responses and accurate documentation, while maintaining effective communication with the external audit team and Group Finance.

Management Accounting & Financial Control:



Manage month-end and year-end financial processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy of monthly P&L, balance sheet, and reconciliations.

Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

Produce full management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, tax, fixed assets, leases, and payroll.

Support quarterly group consolidated accounts and annual statutory financial statements.

Submit VAT returns, reconcile key control accounts (PAYE, VAT, wages, stock), and complete accurate bank reconciliations.

Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure associated controls are in place.

Analysis & Business Support:



Conduct variance and margin analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.

Prepare annual budgets and reforecasts, providing insightful variance analysis.

Generate and analyse sales and performance reports.

Monitor aged debtors and creditors, carry out credit card reconciliations, and manage inter-company loan balances.

Provide clear financial advice and insights to senior management, supporting strategic decisions.

Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and process enhancements across finance systems.

Experience & Qualifications;



Relevant accounting qualification; ACA, ACCA, CIMA (essential)

3-5 years' experience producing end-to-end management accounts (essential)

Strong customer service focus with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Experience in statutory accounting, audit, or financial reporting under IFRS (essential)

Strong focus on quality and attention to detail (essential)

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders. (essential)

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel (essential)

Proactive team player, able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment (essential)

Experience producing statutory reporting for listed companies, banks, or financial services (desirable)

Experience with BI tools and financial reporting systems (desirable)

This role is a fixed term contract for a minimum period of 6 months.
