We're now looking for a
Management Accountant
to bring structure and financial clarity to our operations -- someone who can build robust systems, streamline reporting, and provide insights that empower creative and commercial growth.
Role Overview
You'll lead the setup and management of Egerton Studio's financial framework -- from bookkeeping and management reporting to process automation and compliance. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting expertise and a proactive approach to operational improvement in a fast-moving creative business.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and maintain accurate bookkeeping using accounting software (e.g., Xero or QuickBooks).
Build a clear internal financial framework covering invoicing, approvals, expense tracking, and P&L management.
Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow statements, and profitability reports.
Identify inefficiencies and streamline accounting and financial processes across departments.
Manage payroll, supplier payments, and bank reconciliations.
Support leadership with budgeting, forecasting, pricing models, and scenario analysis.
Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and statutory requirements (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax).
Collaborate with department heads to enhance financial control and transparency.
Requirements
Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of management accounting, reporting, and analysis.
Experience in creative agencies, production companies, or startups preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, Xero/QuickBooks, and reporting dashboards.
Process-driven mindset with the ability to automate and simplify workflows.
Excellent accuracy, analytical ability, and communication skills.
