We are currently seeking a Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA, ICAS or ICAEW qualified) to be based at our site at Head Office in Breedon on the Hill, Derbyshire.


The purpose of this role is to:Delivery of month end / year end timetable for GB Materials Responsibility for the GB Materials Balance Sheet To ensure financial deadlines are met in an accurate and timely manner Line management of the central finance Assistant Management Accountants
This role is being offered on a hybrid basis, requiring 3 days at Pinnacle House.###

Key Responsibilities

Participation in Health & Safety awareness and support across the sites Line manage two Assistant Management Accountants Responsibility for the completion of GB Materials month end, ensuring that all central processes, accounting and journals are completed on an accurate and timely basis Complete month end submissions to Breedon Group Finance and be the key point of contact within GB Materials Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and review those prepared by the Assistant Management Accountants Complete the additional year end submissions to Breedon Group Finance and Tax teams Manage the day to day information requests from the external auditors Preparation of quarterly VAT returns Preparation of quarterly Aggregates Levy returns Completion of any other statutory or taxation related returns or information requests relevant to GB Materials, including ONS Returns Provide support to the preparation of Forecast and Budget Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Key contact for any internal audit reviews relevant to GB Materials Provide support to the Continuous Improvement initiatives Ad-hoc queries responded to satisfactory level All other duties or tasks as requested by your line manager

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Accountant qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) is

required

You must be able to demonstrate a high level of written and numerical literacy
