Role Overview



We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive & affable Management Accountant to join our UK finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing management accounts, providing financial insights, and supporting business decision-making. This role is suited to someone with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reports to both UK GAAP & IFRS standards. Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and provide commentary to management on business sales & operational efficiency. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts & key general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Complete the weekly supplier payment run, ensuring all payments are processed accurately & on time. Ensure consistent compliance with UK & International Financial Reporting Standards. Continuously review and improve financial processes and reporting systems. Support budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads. Assist with both UK & international year-end processes and audits, liaising with external auditors where required.

Required Qualifications & Experience



Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in a management accounting or financial analysis role. Strong knowledge of UK accounting, IFRS principles and relevant legislation. Advanced Excel skills; experience with Sage 50 Accounts. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly. Highly organised, self-driven, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
