Job Description

Anderson Knight are looking for a Management Accountant to join our clients Operational Finance team in Glasgow. Reporting to the Business Partner Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting our managed contract portfolio, delivering specialist services across retail and distribution sites.
This commercially focused role will see you acting as a trusted business partner to the Managed Contracts team, preparing management accounts, producing high-quality financial reporting and delivering meaningful insight into operational cost variances across a portfolio of specialist suppliers and clients.
Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for key business areas.
  • Complete month-end tasks on schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Partner with Managed Contracts and commercial colleagues to provide variance analysis against budgets.
  • Establish and lead regular review meetings with business teams, tracking actions and follow-ups.
  • Build a deep understanding of operational drivers within key contracts.
  • Play an active role in the annual budget process.
  • Maintain control and accuracy over balance sheet accounts.
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports, while helping to develop Power BI capabilities.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and wider team initiatives as required.
About You
  • Proven experience in a finance environment, ideally within a commercially focused role.
  • Studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CA, CIMA). We also welcome applications from fully qualified accountants.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong general IT capability.
  • Experience in a high-volume transaction environment.
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Proactive mindset, with a drive for continuous process improvement.
