Management Accountant
Gloucestershire
50 - 55k DOE
33 days holiday INC Ban hols. Mon - Fri, 8:30 - 5pm.
Our client is a well-established UK business operating within the waste management and recycling vehicle solutions sector, supplying specialist vehicles and services to private operators nationwide.
Role overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join the business and play a key role in financial control, reporting, and decision support. Reporting into senior management, the successful candidate will initially focus on core management accounting duties before taking responsibility for managing a team of four once fully embedded in the role.
Key Responsibilities

• Verification and reconciliation of financial data from operational departments
• Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments
• Production and analysis of monthly management accounts
• Identification, investigation, and reporting of variances and anomalies
• Financial support for projects, tenders, and business cases
• Assistance with annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Supporting senior management with accurate and timely financial insight
• Ongoing improvement of financial controls and reporting processes
• Team management and development (4 direct reports, post-onboarding)

Candidate Requirements

• ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a management accounting role
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and controls
• Advanced Excel skills& Experience using accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar)
