About the role:



Management Accountant will take ownership of the bookkeeping, management accounts, financial reporting, VAT reporting and payroll activities and support the financial administration, management of the sales and purchase ledgers and payments carried out by our small but supportive Finance Team.

This key finance role contributes towards maintaining the financial integrity of the company by ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial performance and position.

Key responsibilities:



Month-end and management accounts:

Prepare and post journals (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll etc.), reconcile key balance sheet accounts, and produce monthly management figures for review. Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register including additions, disposals and depreciation, reconciling to Insphire (asset management system) periodically.
Financial reporting and management information:

Produce / provide monthly management information for internal reporting to CFO for review. Assist CFO with production of board, investor and ad-hoc reporting. Produce weekly revenue reconciliations and provide ad-hoc reporting as required by CFO.
Payroll, VAT and tax reporting:

Collate monthly payroll information for provision to external payroll provider. Reconcile payroll reports and finalise for net payments in good time for payday. Ensure timely and accurate submission of RTI to HMRC following payroll approval. Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
Bank, payments and bank reconciliations

Manage daily bank postings, perform weekly and month-end bank reconciliations. Assist CFO with short-term cashflow forecasting. Review scheduled and ad-hoc payment runs from Accounts Assistant.
Other responsibilities:

Provide support to Accounts Assistant Prepare schedules and support the year-end process and audit requirements Identify inefficiencies and strengthen controls, simplifying manual tasks through automation or better use of systems. Support the CFO in implementing better tools and processes to enhance accuracy, speed, and control across the finance function.

Requirements and qualifications:



ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. Experience with SAGE 50, Zahara and Insphire beneficial Organised and methodical in approach to financial tasks Confident using internal finance systems and tools Able to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable managing multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail Strong team working and interpersonal skills Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel. Proactive and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Enjoys working in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Pay: 50,000.00-65,000.00 per year
