This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Management Accountant to manage financial operations within the retail industry.
Based in Ilkeston, the role is focused on ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and financial efficiency.
Management Accountant Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and ensure timely reporting to senior management.
• Oversee financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Monitor dealership budgets and provide analysis on variances against forecasts.
• Manage cash flow and oversee banking operations, including reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing in collaboration with HR.
• Support the dealership team with financial guidance and decision-making tools.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure smooth year-end processes.
• Prepare VAT returns and other required financial documentation.

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• Working towards a professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
