Our client is expanding their team with a Management Accountant who's eager to take ownership of their work, contribute ideas, and help drive financial performance across the business. As one of the most respected and decorated companies in their industry, they're looking for someone who can combine attention to detail with commercial insight to support continued growth and success.
Working closely with the CFO, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, timely financial information and supporting decision-making across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial performance reports
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive business performance
Support cashflow management and cost control initiatives
Maintain and reconcile the sales and purchase ledgers, including invoice processing and supplier payments
Analyse project profitability and overhead spend to identify improvement opportunities
Assist with year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors
Ensure compliance with VAT, CIS, and HMRC regulations
Support process improvements and internal controls across the finance function
Collaborate with operations, HR, and supply chain teams to ensure financial visibility
This is an office based role (4 days per week) with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week, offering the best of both worlds.
What you'll need:
Part-qualified or newly qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent)
Proven experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Finance Manager role
Strong analytical, Excel, and reporting skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Experience within the construction or manufacturing sector (advantageous)
Benefits:
Salary range: 35,000 - 45,000, depending on experience
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
