Job Description


Job Purpose To provide financial accounting support to the UK Reporting team. Responsibilities

  • Involvement in the monthly financial close process, including accruals, prepayments and account analysis, Balance Sheet reconciliations, P&L commentary for management review, ensuring all activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Involvement in the management of certain APAC Fixed Asset modules including calculating the monthly depreciation and capitalization of new assets;
  • Preparation of various payroll journals and associated reconciliations across various jurisdictions including developing relationships with the payroll department to understand compensation and tax structures.
  • The keeping of all financial records, accounts and schedules to the requirements of the auditors and general accepted accounting standards and practices;
  • Preparation of accurate management information possibly including statistical data, financial statement preparation and management reports, on a timely basis;
  • Work with the team to ensure reconciliation process notes are complete and up to date;
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and any related audit queries;
  • The performance of such other duties as may be required from time to time by the Financial Reporting Managers.
  • Key person for APAC bank reconciliations and resulting cash management entries.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Desire to progress by undertaking an appropriate accounting qualification;
  • Previous experience in a Finance team is highly desirable;
  • Previous experience with Oracle Cloud system would be an advantage;
  • Good personal communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Must possess great attention to detail;
  • Must be self-motivated and self-starter;
  • Must be focused and deadline driven;
  • Good computer literacy with experience using computer based accounting systems, word processing, spreadsheets and other standard business software;
  • Clear commitment to the team approach of exchanging ideas and providing support to colleagues;
  • The jobholder will receive guidance but will also need to be able to work by themselves.
Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
