Position Overview





The Management Accountant is an essential member of the Insider Finance team, tasked with contributing to the preparation of management accounts and supporting the overall financial reporting process. This role includes a wide range of accounting activities, such as processing month-end journals, generating reports for key performance indicators (KPIs), and actively participating in the preparation of financial reports for treasury, Revenue, EBITDA, and headcount. The successful candidate will also engage in provisioning, accruals and supporting departmental monthly reporting.




Key Responsibilities






Financial Reporting and Management Accounts:

Significantly contribute to tasks leading up to the preparation of management accounts. Process month-end journals accurately Contribute to the Flash reporting on WD 4 for critical financial metrics. Develop balance sheet reconciliation schedules.



KPI Reporting:

Generate insightful reports on KPIs to aid strategic decision-making and performance evaluation for the business.



Audit Support and Compliance:

Respond to audit queries for both group and statutory audits, ensuring compliance and integrity of financial reports. Facilitate the tracking and reporting of ESG



Financial Analysis and Scheduling:

Provide detailed work, calculations, and schedules for financial accounts, preparing balance sheet schedules and supporting the broader business needs. Provide narrative understanding of variances month on month, quarter on quarter of financial statements.



Provisioning and Accruals:


Handle provisioning and accrual tasks accurately, ensuring financial statements reflect current liabilities and expenses accurately.



Departmental Support:


Assist the financial business partners in the departmental monthly reporting, enhancing the accuracy and timeliness of financial information across the organization. Respond to queries raised by the business teams.



Tax


Assist in the preparation of VAT returns Support the reporting of US Sales Tax



Bank Allocation Tasks:


Perform bank allocation tasks through the automated cash application tool and as a minor yet integral part of the role, ensuring transactions are correctly recorded and reconciled.



Qualifications / Experience


Qualified:

Ideally CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with experience in management accounting and financial reporting, especially within a SaaS business environment

Technical Expertise:

Strong technical accounting knowledge, with experience in preparing statutory accounts and management reports.

Systems Expertise:

Familiarity with Sage would be desirable while experience with Salesforce would be preferred but not essential.

SAAS and PE Experience (Preferred):

Experience within the SaaS industry is preferred, though not essential, as is any prior exposure to Private Equity

Communication Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.

Attention to Detail:

High level of accuracy in financial reporting and strong Excel skills are mandatory.

Proactive and Self-Motivated:

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive initiatives forward.

AI Experience:

Experience with Co-Pilot, Chat-GPT, or other AI platforms preferred but not essential.
