We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Management Accountant

to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to broaden their experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic decision-making.

About the Role




As Management Accountant, you will support the Senior Financial Controller and Finance Business Partners in delivering accurate monthly accounts and reporting packs. You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. This role offers a broad scope of responsibilities and the chance to contribute to both internal and external reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities



Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs, including profit and loss, KPIs, balance sheet, and cashflow. Provide insightful analysis to support performance improvement and financial understanding. Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews and ensure reconciliations are accurate and well-presented. Support the annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes, including detailed commentary and analysis. Maintain and improve financial control procedures, systems, and processes. Participate in year-end statutory audits, internal audits, and respond to tax-related queries. Assist Finance Business Partners in operational and management meetings. Prepare VAT returns and tax packs, ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Contribute effectively to the wider Finance Team.

Person Specification



Qualifications



Higher level education (A-Level, Degree or equivalent) is essential Working towards or qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA - Desirable

Knowledge and Experience



Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards Experience in a similar role within a professional accounting environment Understanding of financial controls and processes Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (Business Central) Experience producing annual budgets and monthly forecasts Experience presenting to senior business executives

Technical Skills



Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong numeracy and analytical skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Good organisational and time management skills
