We're recruiting a hands-on Management Accountant to join a specialist manufacturing and installation business in North London. This role covers full ownership of purchase and sales ledgers, project valuations, bank and payroll reconciliation, and month-end reporting across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities



Purchase Ledger



Raise and approve purchase orders (including slab quantities and wastage calculations). Maintain product codes and reconcile supplier invoices with POs and delivery notes. Manage proformas and ensure deposits and order priorities are tracked ahead of payment.

Sales Ledger & Billing



Process SOPs with correct product and tax codes. Convert SOPs into invoices for both domestic and contract projects. Verify billing for installations, cross-check production schedules, and ensure all completed works are invoiced. Raise valuation invoices and follow up on payment certificates.

Project Valuations



Assist with monthly valuations and check previous calculations. Update variations and liaise with the project team for submissions.

Banking & Payroll



Weekly bank reconciliations across three businesses (flexible / remote possible). Monthly credit card reconciliations. Process monthly payroll, approve overtime, and support rollout of a mobile payroll solution. Oversee subcontractor payroll reconciliations where required.

Month-End & Compliance



Review POs, SOPs, journals, and invoices across entities. Submit PAYE, CIS, and VAT returns on time. Produce monthly P&L and cashflow statements. Monitor intercompany balances and shared cost allocations.

Ad Hoc



Chase debtors, maintain Sage backups, manage HR/holiday records, utilities reconciliations, and other finance admin.

Requirements



Part or fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / AAT or equivalent) - or qualified by experience. Strong Sage experience is essential. Solid background in management accounts, VAT, CIS, and payroll. Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills. Confident communicator across teams, suppliers, and clients.
