Job Description

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and robust support to operational and strategic decision-making across the business. Experience within a manufacturing or production environment will be considered highly advantageous, as you will be instrumental in understanding cost drivers, inventory management, and performance efficiency across the organisation.
Management Accountant responsibilities include;

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis and margin reporting to identify areas for improvement.
• Partner with operational and production teams to enhance financial performance and control.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Prepare and present financial reports for management and external stakeholders as required.
• Assist in the development of standard costing models and review of bill of materials.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring all financial data is accurate and timely.

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• Fully qualified or part-qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA (or equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting skills with a sound understanding of management accounting principles.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment (desirable).
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner across departments.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
