Job Description

We are currently recruiting for the role of Management Account for our business.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for producing accurate financial and management information to support strategic decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across the business.

Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, highlighting variances and trends Provide insightful commentary and recommendations to senior management
Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts Monitor departmental spend and support budget holders with financial guidance Update forecasts based on business performance and changing conditions
Cost Control & Performance Monitoring

Track and analyse costs, margins, and key performance indicators (KPIs) Support cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements Perform product, project, or departmental profitability analysis
Month-End & Year-End Processes

Manage accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations Ensure timely and accurate month-end close Support Year End Account to ensure our accoutants file the accounts on time
Systems & Process Improvement

Maintain and improve financial models, reports, and dashboards Ensure financial data integrity across systems Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and controls
Stakeholder Support

Work closely with non-finance stakeholders to explain financial results in a clear and practical way Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions
Skills & Experience Required:Essential:

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent) Proven experience in a management accounting role Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:

Experience in [retail / manufacturing / e-commerce / services - tailor as needed] Knowledge of ERP systems Experience producing financial models and dashboards

Strong communication skills Commercially minded with a proactive approach Able to work independently and as part of a team Confident presenting financial information to non-finance colleagues

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
