Are you a dynamic and detail-oriented finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a talented Management Accountant to join a Finance team in Hull area. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of our organisation. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller/Finance Director, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and insightful analysis to drive decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet analysis
• Managing the month-end close process, ensuring all journals, accruals, and prepayments are completed accurately and on time
• Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies
• Producing detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast
• Providing financial insights and analysis to support operational and non-finance stakeholders
• Collaborating with the wider finance team to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information
• Supporting internal and external audit requirements, including preparing audit schedules and responding to queries

Qualifications

• Part or fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
• Strong organisational, administrative, and planning skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of personnel
• Proficiency in IT and relevant financial software
• Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in the construction industry desirable but not essential
