Job Description
Experienced Management Accountant required to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis starting ASAP through to January 2026. This role is to support the business through a particularly busy period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and submitting management accounts, forecasts, and narrative for assigned business entities.
- Supporting quarterly forecasts and the annual budget process.
- Maintaining the integrity of the nominal ledger and statutory accounts.
- Managing cash reporting and forecasting.
- Assisting with corporation tax packs and quarterly/bi-monthly VAT returns.
- Reconciling intercompany balances and fixed assets, including capital sanction preparation.
- Analysing product costing, margins, and labour rates, and monitor R&D spend where applicable.
- Enhancing management information, reporting trends, variances, and performance issues.
- Supporting month-end duties and provide cover across the finance department as required.
- Contributing to the improvement of accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
The ideal candidate will be an experience accountant able to hit the ground running with strong management accounting experience, particularly in forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting. You will be confident working to tight deadlines, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to provide insightful analysis to support business decisions.
This temporary role offers excellent exposure across multiple areas of finance, the chance to contribute to a busy, forward-thinking team, and flexibility to work a 9-day fortnight if desired.
