Job Description

This Management Accountant role requires expertise in Accounting & Finance to support financial operations and reporting. This role is pivotal in driving strategic decision-making through robust business partnering, confident communication with senior leaders, and advanced data capabilities including Power Query, Power Automate, and emerging AI tools.

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and other overhead departments to deliver actionable insights.
  • Present financial performance and KPIs to senior stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts, including overhead reviews, month end journal posting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting across multiple cost centres.
  • Use Power Query and Power Automate to streamline reporting processes and improve data integrity.
  • Demonstrate resilience and persistence when implementing process improvements across teams.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and support the implementation of AI-driven solutions.
  • Coach junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Review and approve journals in line with authorisation limits.
  • Contribute to the development and testing of new incentive schemes and financial policies.

A successful Management Accountant should have:
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Proven experience in financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Strong business partnering skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Confident presenting to senior leaders and influencing decision-making.
  • Resilient and proactive in driving process improvements.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and Power Automate.
  • Interest in AI and its application in finance and reporting.
  • Understanding of transactional finance functions
  • Experience in a large or complex organisation.
