Think Accountancy and Finance are seeking a Part Qualified Management Accountant for a growing business based in Watford.

This role will require recent exposure in a Management Accounts role and will also support the completion of your ACCA or CIMA qualification.

The role will prepare and account for all P&L and Balance sheet entries in line with UK GAAP and other accounting policies. It will support Accounts Payable and ensure regular reviews and analysis of revenue and overhead accounts.

The Head of Finance is looking for someone who is both dynamic and flexible in their approach as no day will look the same. You need to have excellent people skills and be an able communicator as you will be required to present your numbers to board. Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly financial accounts
• Embed key financial control principles, policies and governance at an appropriate level.
• Journals
• Accruals
• Timely reviews and analysis of P&L\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x93 monitoring costs though the creation and use of data driven reports whilst performing variance analysis
• Set up and verify new supplier information
• Assist central departments with financial queries and any required entries.
• Take ownership for and prepare high quality balance sheet reconciliations including Intercompany reconciliations
• Bank & Cash, Debtors & Prepayments Creditors & Accruals and Fixed asset reconciliations.
• Actively contribute to cost control and cost monitoring investigating
• Assistance with quarterly and annual budgeting
• Monitor team inbox and communicate with both external and internal stakeholders.
• Request and chase information from vendors and other business stakeholders
• Companies House and HMRC administration
• Ad-hoc duties to support wider finance department.

You will be/have:

• Part Qualified ACCA or CIMA
• A passionate Finance professional
• A strong work ethic and a desire to continually develop and learn with good teamworking
• Comfortable dealing with various stakeholders including senior management
• Multi-site experience desirable and strong double entry capabilities
• Exposure to Balance sheets preparation and reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills (V-Look ups & Pivot Tables), Perform GL & Balance sheet analysis \xe2\x80\x93 identify and explain variances

This role is a permanent position and although will offer hybrid working, there will be a need for someone to be flexible and spend more time in the office in the first few months of employment.
